As per the instructions issued by Election Commission of India (ECI), objectionable SMSs, which violate election laws, model code of conduct and Election Commission’s instructions are not allowed. Election Commission of India has also directed all mobile service providers to stop “political” bulk SMS services 48 hours before the election date (election silence period) to ensure that parties do not influence voters during this period. So, any form of political messages from bulk SMS accounts are not allowed during the election silence period.

During the Election Silence period for various States and UTs (refer to the election dates in the below table), no customSMS messages will be allowed through ApnaComplex.com. Your message might be marked as ‘Sent’ in the portal – but it would never reach any recipients.

Please note that this only impacts “Custom” SMS and not other SMS like Reminders, Invoices/Receipt notifications, Complaints and other template based SMS.
